Vector file and Raster File – What is the difference?
What is the difference between a vector file and a raster file?
A vector file is made up of dots and lines, and can print as big as you want without degrading the image.
A raster file is made up of pixels, which distort as you enlarge, and therefore unless designed for print (at least 300dpi at finished print size) won’t print very well.
When printing stickers, we prefer vector files for the best quality if possible.
